Hello!
Alex Sapaugh (b. 1998, Rolla, Missouri) is a multi and mixed media artist and photographer. She graduated from Rolla High School in 2016, alongside her twin sister, and earned a BFA with a dual emphasis in Drawing and Photography from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2020.
Sapaugh has exhibited work across Missouri and Oklahoma, with her 35 mm photography published in the international zine The G-Word and her large format film featured in the documentary Tecopa Lost, which debuted at First Look 20/21 at the Museum of the Moving Image in New York City. Her current work explores fibers, mixed media, and scrapbooking- creating garden alchemy and hybrid realities where memories, plants, and animals flourish and intermix freely.
Notably, Sapaugh served as the Head of Marketing for GB Provisions for nearly 3 years. In this role, she conceptualized and created original artwork and communications for sold-out wine dinners and garden parties, while overseeing all visual branding and design elements for the company. Her marketing strategies were instrumental in nearly doubling revenue for Vintage Wine Bar, showcasing her ability to drive growth through creativity and strategy. Sapaugh’s creative vision has also extended Tulsa’s culinary scene, where she designed the visual brand identities and artwork for the newly launched restaurants, LoFi and Ava June.
In the Spring of 2025, Sapaugh launched a full service design, photography, and fine art business, Banana Franklin Art House. She currently lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she continues her artistic practice.
